Raw click viewer
What happens
Open a managed link’s Clicks tab to inspect retained raw events with their timestamp, country, device, referrer, and traffic classification. Use the log to investigate a specific redirect while it is still inside the retention window; raw rows default to about one day and older partitions are dropped.
- Read-only per-link click log
- Timestamp, country, device, referrer, and traffic type
- Keyset pagination with a bounded retained window
What this feature does
Inspect the click behind the aggregate.
Open a managed link’s Clicks tab to inspect retained raw events with their timestamp, country, device, referrer, and traffic classification. Use the log to investigate a specific redirect while it is still inside the retention window; raw rows default to about one day and older partitions are dropped.
Use this capability when you need more control than a basic short URL provides.
Implementation and operating details
The workflow stays attached to the short link, so you can manage the destination and its rules without replacing the URL already in circulation.
- Read-only per-link click log
- Timestamp, country, device, referrer, and traffic type
- Keyset pagination with a bounded retained window
How it works
Open link details
Choose a managed short link and open its detail view from the dashboard.
Select the Clicks tab
The read-only viewer loads the retained raw events for that link, with a bounded page size.
Filter and investigate
Filter the retained window and open an event to compare request context without waiting for an aggregate report.
Operational guide
How DrutoLink processes it
The link detail view reads retained raw Click rows for one managed link, applies the selected time range, and returns a bounded keyset-paginated log with request context such as time, country, device, referrer, and traffic classification.
Understand the signals, processing order, fallback, and checks that matter before you rely on this capability.
Required inputs and signals
- Configuration input
- Open a managed short link’s detail view and select Clicks.
- Signals and connected controls
- Aggregate analytics, live activity, campaigns, safety filtering, and link controls
Decision, fallback, and common mistakes
Raw rows are available only during the retention window, which defaults to about one day. Older partitions are dropped and cannot be recovered; the viewer is not a permanent event archive or conversion record.
This capability is available now. Results still depend on visitor signals, destination availability, campaign setup, and the quality of the traffic being measured.
Practical setup checklist
- 01 Open link details. Choose a managed short link and open its detail view from the dashboard.
- 02 Select the Clicks tab. The read-only viewer loads the retained raw events for that link, with a bounded page size.
- 03 Filter and investigate. Filter the retained window and open an event to compare request context without waiting for an aggregate report.
Why teams use it
Measurement and reporting
Review click activity and the relevant link, campaign, audience, or variant breakdowns in DrutoLink analytics. Use consistent UTM parameters when results must also be reconciled with destination-side analytics.
What you can evaluate
Investigate one redirect without losing the event-level context · Separate likely human, bot, and blocked requests while reviewing a link · Reconcile a live incident with the aggregate analytics view
How to interpret results
A redirect click confirms that the link served a destination. It does not by itself prove a signup, purchase, or qualified visit. Compare the same date range and traffic definition before making a decision.
Current status and limitations
This capability is available now. Results still depend on visitor signals, destination availability, campaign setup, and the quality of the traffic being measured.
Important boundary
Use the default destination and documented fallback behavior for cases where a rule cannot be evaluated. Test important links from representative devices and networks before broad distribution.
What does the raw click viewer show? It shows retained Click rows for one managed link, including available timestamp, country, device, referrer, and traffic classification context.
Best use cases
Practical examples
These are common situations where the capability can reduce manual link changes or make reporting easier to understand.
- 01 Confirm which device and referrer produced an unexpected click
- 02 Investigate a spike before the raw retention window closes
- 03 Review campaign or newsletter traffic event by event
- 04 Compare a suspicious request with the link’s aggregate totals
Is this the right fit?
Choose this feature when
You need one controlled short URL, a repeatable operating workflow, and reporting that stays connected to the link. Investigate one redirect without losing the event-level context
Use another approach when
Your requirement depends on a capability marked partial or planned, requires identity-level certainty, or needs conversion attribution that must be measured in the destination product.
Build the complete workflow
Combine this feature with the controls that affect how traffic is routed, organized, and measured.
